I have an EPOS server and to cut a long story short I find the company involved in the EPOS software to be nightmarish when it comes to security and frankly simple standards.
For example sometime ago after they logged onto our EPOS server; I logged on after they had finished and discovered the "engineer" had installed some naff, silly, freeware Windows UI skin/changer because he didn't like the 2008 UI. I was fuming, I'm sure you can understand. These are not their servers, just the SQL database and EPOS software was requested to be install by them.
I mention this because it doesn't shock me that this server is the server we suddenly get these types of problems on.
Anyway, this server has been hit with internet problems and for some reason local networking is fine but any connection to the internet is impossible, it's not DNS and...
