A customer has two Windows 2003 and Windows 2008 terminal servers running about 10 to 15 users on each. Over the years we've tried Symantec Endpoint protection and Vipre Antirivus and both seem to start out well and them bog down the servers so much that they have to be uninstalled.
Does anyone have recommendations for this specific scenario? Preferably from your own experience.
Problem with both was that they launched multiple instances of the same program that slowed things, or the single instance that ran was too slow to process all requests and so applications that used data from other servers got really slow. Same application on another server would run really fast. CPU and memory were never at 100% on the affected servers so it was a real pain to track down the issue as it all seemed ok.
