Free or inexpensive managed AV solution

Alright, so my company is ditching our MSP. Said MSP provides us "Kaseya" anti-virus (really it's repackaged Kaspersky). It isn't great, plus it's a bit too heavy for some of our older machines that run fine otherwise.

So, I was thinking of deploying Microsoft Security Essentials via GP, but I wanted to know if there might be a better free or cheap option. I suppose it's a lot to ask, but could there be a free (or cheap) AV solution for a small business with about 100 machines?

If possible, I'd like to have a console view where I could centrally see infections, run scans on a schedule, etc. I have used Vipre's console and I really liked it, but that was when I worked for an MSP. Alternatively, is it possible to automate task in MSE via GP. I assume it is, but I'm not sure. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
