I work at a law firm so we receive digital media/files (USB drives, CD's, portable HDD's) from multiple sources daily. What I would like to do is create a dedicated machine that I can use to scan all received media before it is put on our network. But I do not want this machine to be attached to any network of any kind including the Internet. However it needs to be able to stay updated for definitions. What are your suggestions? Linux or Windows? What would be the best programs to use for scanning? I currently use KVRT and Malwarebytes. All of our end points have Kaspersky installed and we have a palo alto firewall between us and the wild but I want to have a safe place to scan things BEFORE they have the possibility of infecting our network.
